This pharmaceutical ferrous and non-ferrous detection metal detector is designed to detect the presence of metals in the tablets and capsules produced by tablet presses, as well as the parts that have been used for quality control. The detector can also be used for detecting stainless steel in pharmaceutical products, magnetic or non-magnetic metals, and contaminants such as rust or other unwanted metals.


The device has an automatic reject function that identifies items considered to be unacceptable by the manufacturer. It also has a manual reject function so that operators can manually remove items of concern from production lines. The unit is equipped with signal processing capabilities so that it can identify the type of metal being detected and then send this information back to its operator console via wireless communication using RFID technology.

Pharmaceutical ferrous and non-ferrous detection metal detector is a mechanical device that is used for detecting, rejecting and discriminating metal contaminants in pharmaceutical products. It can be used to detect metals like ferrous, non-ferrous or any other type of metals such as stainless steel, copper or any other materials with magnetic or non magnetic characteristics.

The role of metal detector in pharmaceutical industry 

The main purpose of this device is to detect and reject the contaminants from the pharmaceutical products so that it can be used for effective production line. The process starts with passing through the tablet press where tablets are pressed into the desired shape using a special presser or pressing system. This process involves using a die which has different shaped dies for each tablet shape according to their required shapes. After this process, tablets are then passed through another part called sizer which makes sure that each tablet has same size before being placed into another area called tester where tablet passes through wall thickness checker machine which gives out good results in case there are no issues found during testing process.
